Mysterious Peace

Mysterious Peace

Someone was praying for me because I felt peace for the first time in a very long time. It was like feeling the sun in the depth of an ocean’s storm. It felt like I was in an oasis in the middle of the desert. For a brief moment time stopped. Everything went silent. Everything was still. The calm set in and washed out my fears. I could feel this satisfying peace in my heart moving about. It was restoring the little cracks in my life. I could feel the power of someone’s prayer. I felt it right there in that moment. They were praying for me.

Prayer has a lot of power when it is accompanied by faith. Prayer is the means through which we can reach God. People entice the idea that God is very distant. On the contrary, God wants to be close to us. God wants to be part of our lives. Through prayer, we can speak to him directly. With faith, we can hear him speak. The power of prayer goes beyond anything we can create. Only when we seek God does he reveal himself to us. God allows the world to take us out of our comfort zone so that he may grab our attention. It’s the pressure of life and failure that push us to turn to God. Weather we pray for ourselves or for someone in need, God never leaves a prayer unanswered.

Someone close to me took the time to kneel before God and ask for my well being. I was overwhelmed by all the trials of life. I felt the walls of my faith bending to their breaking point. This mystery person prayed for me at the perfect moment. They asked God to strengthen my faith. They put my life in the hands of God. I felt how God swiftly covered me with peace. I felt my faith being reinforced. I felt like I was given my hopes back. All my dreams became clear again. I began to trust in God like an infant trusts a mother. It was the most unreal moment I have ever felt. I had forgotten all about the storms. I forgot I was walking through the desert. This person’s prayer saved my faith during the trying times of the storm.

Don’t you ever give up on your prayers. If you have been praying for the life of a friend, family member, or someone you really care about, keep praying for them. Maybe you don’t see the answer to the prayer, but the person does. I saw a prayer being answered through my brief moment of peace. It raised my hopes. If someone was fighting for me, then I sure will keep fighting for my dreams. That is what my mystery person would want. That was the whole purpose of their prayer. They believed in me enough to know that the dreams I am chasing are important. I mattered to this person. I was chasing dreams. I was chasing my dreams to bless everyone I share my life with. They saw that as motivation. They saw I was getting tired and needed a little push. The prayer they said to God alone was answered in public. It pushed me to keep following my dreams. Someone was praying for me because my dreams were right in front of me.

Prayer has power. Make sure you pray with faith. God will answer all of your prayers. God does not leave a prayer unanswered. If you feel like God hasn’t answered, it’s OK. Don’t be afraid or angry. It just means that God is still working on it. When God is silent, he is working. Be patient and persistent. Your prayers will be fulfilled. Prayer has power. Faith is Power.

Hebrews 11:6

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
