My Promise, Your Promise

My Promise, Your Promise

God made me a promise 13 years ago. He told me that i would play many musical instruments. He said i would preach to so many nations. He said i would travel the word. He said he would put me in very high places. He said he would give me a spirit of leadership and he would make me a leader. He said all my dreams would come true. This was the promises he gave me 13 years ago.

I was young. I had just started church. I had no idea what any of this meant. I couldn’t even begin to imagine the plans that God had for me. He literally revealed his plans to me and i didn’t even realize it. I don’t think i will ever be prepared to see his promises unfold before me. A lot of what God has promised me has really caught me by surprise. When i least expect it, during the most challenging moments of my life, a promise gets fulfilled. To this day, his promises for my life keep unfolding. I play piano, guitar, bass, and drums. I preached at a youth service. I just started my own company. I have gone out to lead worship at different churches. Everything God has ever told me has been fulfilled. I still have a long way to go. God has some really big plans for me that require a lot of time, commitment, effort, and faith. He keeps building me up and opening the doors. I know that i am getting closer to accomplishing all my dreams and fulfilling God’s will.

God is not a man to lie. When God makes a promise, he goes through with it. See, God’s word never fails (Luke 1:37). His word gives life. Jesus said we can’t live on bread alone, but on the words that God speaks (Matthew 4:4). God made me a promise and he has kept his word. I have believed in him and he has fulfilled his promises in my life. The God i serve does not fail.  My life is living proof that God never fails. If i could give you a piece of advice, i would tell you to keep on believing. Even if the odds seem impossible, stand strong in your faith (1 Corinthians 16:13). Some of the promises that God gave me happened in less than a month. Most of his promises have been happening over time. The greatest promises will take a lifetime to happen. Do not worry if you don’t see the promise now. God has perfect timing. Everything will work out and fall into place. All you have to do is keep believing. Don’t get discouraged if God has fulfilled promises in the lives of those around you. We each have our own time. In the end, you can have peace knowing that a promise from God never fails.
