Heed Not A Heavy Heart

Heed Not A Heavy Heart

A heavy heart is never an easy feeling to get over. Feeling heavy hearted is usually the result of a difficult situation or circumstance we don’t have control over. It causes you to shut down. You lose yourself to the weight of sadness. Life becomes a drag. Happiness starts to sound more like a fairy tale. A heavy heart is a very aggressive feeling. It also affects the people around you. The weight you carry makes you miserable. Those who are closest to you see that desperation. They can feel how desperate you are to be happy again. Every situation can be different. Some people get heavy hearts because they lost a loved one. You can also get a heavy heart because the person you love doesn’t love you back. No matter the reason why you have a heavy heart, You have to fight it. Only you can turn things around. You have to fight for your happiness. You have to make the decision. Are you going to let sadness overcome you or are you going to fight against it? Fight to become the person you once were. If you feel the person you once were is not worth fighting for, then at least fight to become better. Find new roads. Find a new source of happiness. Fight to restore whatever it was that left you broken. The only bad decision one can make is to do nothing. Do not accept defeat. You are meant to be happy. You have a natural birth given right to live a full, happy life. Jesus died on the cross for more than just your sins and forgiveness. He died so you can be able to get close to God the Father. He died so that the chains that held you captive may be broken. He died to set you free. Don’t carry sadness around. Instead carry all the blessing that have your name on it. The bible tells us that we should aim for heavenly things. God wants you to reach for the stars, not for the valleys. It is never easy to carry around a heavy heart, but if you bring it to God, He will set you free. He will carry you and lift the weight off your shoulders. Don’t give up. You have a beautiful blessing waiting for you. Don’t let any situation bring you down. Fight against it and prevail. Remember that the pain is always temporary. The joy will come in the morning.

Pray to God and ask him to take the weight off your shoulders. Remember to give him your heart no matter how ugly or broken it is. Ask God to set you free and give you everlasting peace.

Colossians 3:2

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
